The day to day running of the club is the responsibility of the Management Committee, with other volunteers helping out in various capacities. The Committee members are elected (or re-elected) each year at the AGM.
The Club Administrator, Sarah Fisher, is in the office between 09.30 - 12.30 Monday - Friday
The present club was founded in October 1962. Since the first two courts were laid and the clubhouse built in 1964, the clubhouse has been expanded and the number of courts increased to the present total of seven full size courts and one smaller court for younger players.
To keep pace with advances in artificial court surfaces and as a policy of continual improvement to facilities, the club has, over the past 15 years, invested heavily in new surfaces for 6 courts. The variation in playing surfaces caters for players of all standards.
If you would like details of how to promote your business through a logo on the club website linked to your company or through sponsorship of either the Club Championships or the Senior Championships, please contact the administration office.
Since June 2012, when the first bags of used tennis balls were given to representatives of Angmering School for sporting activities in an under-privileged school in Kenya, the Club has been recycling used tennis balls for distribution. Among the beneficiaries so far are local schools, Clymping Dog Sanctuary, the Shoreham branch of the Dogs' Trust and Sussex Police Dog Unit.
