Dear Members,

We are sure that you are all aware of the current situation regarding the outbreak of the Coronavirus.

As a Tennis Club we have a duty of care in cases where there is a health risk to Members or Visitors, therefore we wish to make you aware of the following procedures:

In general it is the Club’s policy to follow the Government and Health Authority guidelines.

We ask members, players, parents and visitors to be mindful that our tennis club site is a public space and we must all do what we can to protect ourselves and prevent the spread of this virus, for example, thoroughly washing hands frequently, covering your face when coughing or sneezing (with a tissue then immediately binning it) and not shaking hands.

When starting to play we would ask all members to clean their hands with the antiseptic cleansers that we have purchased, which are based in the kitchen, and both toilet facilities, before handling any tennis balls. This cleansing should be repeated after the conclusion of your game.

We would respectfully ask parents of junior members to ensure that their child/children are aware of these procedures which must be adhered to.

We have purchased a quantity of antiseptic hand cleanser which we will check and replenish when necessary.

If you feel that you may be at risk from this virus it is advisable that you avoid public spaces where possible.

If you have travelled to any of the affected areas, you may need to self-isolate.

More information on how to protect yourself against this virus; the affected areas and whether you need to self-isolate can be found on the following link:

Thank you for your support.
