Jack Telling's Fun Friday - 1st August

Hi Everyone

As I have already mentioned on the Summer Holiday email, the Friday of Junior Week this year we will be raising money to help Jack Telling fund his 4 week expedition to Kenya in 2026.

He will be working hands-on in 3 majorly deprived communities in kenya, helping with vital projects like building schools, houses, installing water wells, supporting animal welfare and conservation initiatives - creating lasting change in line with the UN's sustainable Development Goals.

The whole day is based around families and so parent's please join in and for this day only there is no extra cost if you're not a member.

Events

9am - 12Noon - Doubles with the coaches (Parent's & Children) - You need to be able to serve and maintain a rally (Orange, Green, Yellow Ball Players only and try and make sure all the players on the same court play the same colour ball).

Myself, Dave, Tom & Grace will have a court each and play doubles 9am-10am, 10am-11am and 11am-12 Noon with 3 different people each hour. Cost is £5 per player per hour (Pay on the day). It doesn't matter how good you are as it's only a bit of fun. Sign up in the clubhouse and only 36 spaces available.

11am - 12Noon - Fun & Games with the other coaches/assistants (Children Only) - Red, Orange, Green & Yellow Ball Players - Any Standard welcome. Please sign up in the clubhouse and it's £5 per player - payable on the day.

12 Noon - 2pm - Alison & Gary will be running a BBQ. There will also be bake sale and strawberries & cream will be available to buy. Prizes to be won in Guess How Many Balls & Guess How Many Sweets in a Jar, as well as a Lucky Dip for the Juniors. There will also be the opportunity to buy a raffle ticket for a chance to win a bottle of Gusbourne English sparkling wine.

2pm - 4pm - American Tournament (Parent's & Children) - You need to be able to serve and maintain a rally (Green & Yellow Ball Players only as the tournament will be played using yellow balls). £5 per player, sign up in the clubhouse and only 24 spaces available.
