Jack Telling's Fun Friday - 1st August

Hi Everyone

On Friday 1st August (next Friday) we will be raising money to help Jack Telling (One of our Juniors who helps with both the Adult & Junior Coaching Programmes and also plays in the Men's Teams) fund his 4 week expedition to Kenya in 2026.

He will be working hands-on in 3 majorly deprived communities in kenya, helping with vital projects like building schools, houses, installing water wells, supporting animal welfare and conservation initiatives - creating lasting change in line with the UN's sustainable Development Goals.

We originally opened the day up to Juniors & Parents but are now looking for some Adults to fill the rest of the spaces. I am asking all of you who are receiving this email as I think most of you have played with Jack at some point.

Events

9am - 12Noon - Doubles with the coaches

Myself, Dave, Tom & Grace will have a court each and play doubles 9am-10am, 10am-11am and 11am-12 Noon with 3 different people each hour. Cost is £5 per player per hour (Pay on the day).

11am - 3 players needed to play Doubles with Dave for an hour.

12 Noon - 2pm - Alison & Gary will be running a BBQ. There will also be bake sale and strawberries & cream will be available to buy. Prizes to be won in Guess How Many Balls & Guess How Many Sweets in a Jar, as well as a Lucky Dip for the Juniors. There will also be the opportunity to buy a raffle ticket for a chance to win a bottle of Gusbourne English sparkling wine.

2pm - 4pm - American Tournament - YOU ENTER INDIVIDAULLY AND IT'S COMPLETELY RANDOM WHO YOU PLAY WITH. YOU WILL PLAY WITH A DIFFERENT PARTNER EVERY 15/20 MINUTES - £5 per player.
